Rowan Bar is designed as a focused and immersive hospitality space, where the bar itself becomes the central experience.
The project explores how materiality, lighting, and proportion can shape a more intimate atmosphere, encouraging slower and more personal interactions.
Warm wood finishes, soft upholstery, and layered lighting create a balanced environment that feels both refined and welcoming.
Bar View
The bar is conceived as the primary focal point, with a continuous counter and integrated shelving that highlight both functionality and visual depth. The composition emphasizes clarity, rhythm, and material consistency.
Sitting Area
Adjacent seating areas provide a softer and more relaxed alternative to the bar, allowing for smaller group interactions while maintaining visual connection to the central space.
Intimate Experience
The design focuses on creating a compact and immersive environment where the relationship between guest and space feels direct and personal. The layout prioritizes proximity, comfort, and visual continuity.
Material & Craft
A palette of rich wood, leather upholstery, and brass accents defines the space. These materials emphasize warmth and craftsmanship, reinforcing a tactile and refined identity.
Warm Atmosphere
Lighting is carefully layered to enhance depth and intimacy, with warm tones highlighting materials and creating a comfortable, evening-oriented atmosphere.
